In addition to SiliFlex ribbon cable and robotic cable, Calmont Wire and Cable manufactures three major types of instrumentation cable used in a wide spectrum of industries: sensor wire and cable, test and measurement cable and specialty wire and cable.

Sensor Wire and Cable

Calmont’s sensor wire and cable can be manufactured using a wide variety of conductors and insulations.

Test and Measurement Cable

Test and measurement equipment designed for high-end critical applications typically requires long life and high flexibility cable. Calmont often uses copper or stainless alloys to manufacture test and measurement cable, with flexible PVC, Silicone rubber and thermoplastic elastomer insulations. Shields may be served or braided construction.

Specialty Wire and Cable           

Calmont uses traditional materials for specialty wire and cable, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyurethane, and more unusual materials such as Valox® resin, Ultem® polymer, Siltem® copolymer, cellulose acetate, Delrin® acetal homopolymer and Lexan® polycarbonate resin to meet demanding applications such as vacuum chamber, zero halogen and low water absorption.
