CALMONT WIRE & CABLE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF INNOVATION

Santa Ana, CA january 29, 2008: 2008 marks the 50th year in business for Calmont Wire and Cable, Inc. Founded in 1958 by Bill Chilcote, the company’s mission has remained the same—to design and manufacture innovative technical solutions for critical applications requiring unparalleled performance. From their beginnings as a custom extrusion company in a garage in Santa Ana, California, Calmont Wire and Cable has gone on to solve a variety of unique wire, cable and extrusion challenges. Calmont is known for supplying innovative solutions for a wide range of industries and applications. At Calmont, under the direction of Mr. Chilcote, the first prototypes of a multi-lumen catheter were developed. Today, the multi-lumen catheter has become commonplace in operating rooms throughout the world.

Calmont’s cables are used extensively in the medical market for ultrasound, electrode, defibrillator, EKG, dialysis, handheld instrument, catheter, implant and other applications. Their cables are specified and used by some of the largest medical manufacturers in the world. With 50 years of experience behind them, Calmont continues to provide complete customer support from product design engineering and prototyping through full production.
